Ranger Billy has won 2 of his 27 starts and looks like another might be near after a good run over slightly shorter here at Ballinrobe last month. His last win was at Fairyhouse in October 2024 off a mark of 90, but he had been well beaten in his next five starts. As a result, his mark dropped to 84 when third, beaten just 4.5 lengths at 50/1 three weeks ago. He is up 1 lb, but having been runner-up on his only previous start at Ballinrobe, he clearly likes the track and looks like a good each-way bet with five places on offer.

Still not won over hurdles but placed in three of her last four and her mark is gradually easing. Has been given a short break since finishing third in a chase at Downpatrick in May.

Joshua Chamberlain has 3 podium finishes, including 1 win from 12 previous hurdles outings. He showed a marked improvement last time out when 4th here at Ballinrobe a little over two weeks ago. He had understandably struggled in the prior outing at Punchestown, as that was a return to action after a near three-year break.
