Believeitanducan won three times over hurdles but has been a revelation returned to the flat, winning three in a row at Ascot, Chester and Newcastle. The last win came in the Northumberland Vase. That last win was off a 9 lb higher mark, and although up another 5 lb here, Luke Catton claims 3 lb, so looks to have a good chance of the four-timer.

Mythological Star has improved in each of his four starts. Unplaced on debut at Kempton in May, he was then third in two Lingfield Novice Stakes races. Obviously better was expected when he made his handicap debut at Ffos Las last week, and he won comfortably as the odds-on favourite. He has a 6 lb penalty, but that is more than offset by the weight-for-age allowance, as he is the only three-year-old in the field. He has a good chance of following up.

Crystal Mariner had arguably the best form of these on the flat when trained in Britain by Jamie Osborne. He won four times in 27 starts, including two Class 4 handicaps last autumn. Unplaced in four starts this year, he has now joined Shark Hanlon. He should stay the trip and looks a decent each-way bet at these odds.

That is one of four runs here at Ballinrobe, and having placed in the other three runs, he clearly likes the track. He was absent for 14 months before returning at Limerick last month, where he was going okay when unseating 3 out. If he finds improvement from that and shows his usual form at Ballinrobe, he looks like a good each-way bet with five places on offer.

His last win was at Fairyhouse in October 2024 off a mark of 90, but he had been well beaten in his next five starts. As a result, his mark dropped to 84 when third, beaten just 4.5 lengths at 50/1 three weeks ago. He is up 1 lb, but having been runner-up on his only previous start at Ballinrobe, he clearly likes the track and looks like a good each-way bet with five places on offer.
