I break betting odds news as it happens, so you’re never left behind when the market moves or a top offer lands.

  • Vítor Pereira now 4/6 favourite to be the next Premier League manager sacked
  • Wolves lost 3-2 to Burnley on Sunday, leaving them bottom of the table
  • Supporters turned on Pereira post-match, chanting “You’re getting sacked in the morning”

Vítor Pereira's future at Wolves looks increasingly uncertain after the club suffered a last-minute 3-2 home defeat to fellow strugglers Burnley on Sunday, a result that leaves them bottom of the Premier League and still without a win this season.

Once hailed for pulling Wolves out of relegation trouble with a six-game winning run last term, Pereira is now facing fan fury.

Chants of “You’re getting sacked in the morning” rang out at full-time and the Portuguese coach was even escorted away from the touchline after a heated exchange with fans.

It’s now six months after their last Premier League win, a 3-0 victory over Leicester.

Bookmakers have slashed odds on Pereira to be the next manager to leave and BetVictor make him odds-on at 4/6.

Next Premier League Manager To Leave Odds

Next Premier League Manager To Leave
OddsImplied Probability
Vítor Pereira (Wolves)4/660.0%
Nuno Espírito Santo (West Ham)5/116.7%
Daniel Farke (Leeds)8/111.1%
Arne Slot (Liverpool)12/17.7%
Marco Silva (Fulham)12/17.7%

Wolves have now gone six months without a league win and Sunday’s late collapse may be the final straw for a fanbase that had remained loyal to Pereira for much of last season.

Wolves Crisis: From Pint Hero to Under Pressure

Pereira’s story at Wolves has been one of extremes.

Appointed in the midst of a relegation battle, he quickly became a cult figure by sharing pints and celebrations with supporters after a run that saw the club stay up comfortably.

But that goodwill has quickly evaporated.

With just two points from nine matches and morale hitting a new low after Burnley’s 95th-minute winner, the pressure is now squarely on the Portuguese boss.

Wolves are next in action in the EFL Cup on Wednesday night, with a crucial fixture that may define Pereira’s immediate future.

If the poor form continues we may see a managerial change before the end of the week.

What the expert says...
The Wolves fans were singing Pereira’s name not long ago but football changes fast. When the crowd turns and your team is rock bottom, the writing can be on the wall. 4/6 feels short, but this could move even faster post-midweek.
