The Pissed slot is played on a 6x6 grid with Scatter Pays, a first for Shady Lady. With 36 grid positions, winning outcomes are formed when 8 or more matching symbols appear anywhere in view, irrespective of grid positions. On the 6x6 grid, symbols include vego containers, organic nuts, mocktails and 0% IPA as the low-value symbols. The higher-value symbols are represented by 4 characters plus an angry Donk: Donk is the best-paying symbol, awarding 2,000 x your total bet for 25 or more anywhere on the grid.

With no Wild symbol, the other symbol of note is the Beer Bonus Scatter, which is key to triggering the Free Spins and Super Free Spins features.

Pissed Mobile

As expected, Donk is the star of the game, as he is the best-paying symbol and key to activating bonus features. Whenever enough Donk symbols appear on the grid, they get pissed and start smashing.

The way bonus features trigger depends on the number of Donk symbols on the grid:

• Each further trigger on the same spin requires 1 more Donk than the previous trigger

Cascades

When 8 or more matching symbols land anywhere on the grid, the Cascade feature triggers. Winning symbols are removed from the grid with the remaining symbols dropping down into the vacated grid positions. New symbols cascade in to give you another chance of winning.

Smash features

Each qualifying Donk has a chance to activate a Smash feature: 25% in the base game, 50% in the Free Spins feature and 75% in the Super Free Spins feature. When a feature is activated, 1 of the following 3 features will be triggered:

• Donk Smash: Donk charges across the grid, destroying low-value symbols and shoving high-value symbols and Beer Bonus Scatters into new positions. Every successful ‘smash’ is added to the Donk Multiplier.
• Ultra Smash: With a range of special attack patterns (such as headbutts, punch/kick combos, full sweeps, and the legendary Fist of the North Star and Hokuto No Ken finishers), every hit climbs the multiplier ladder higher, so Ultra Smash can rack up huge Donk Multipliers.
• Angry Crush: Donk symbols cascade down to the bottom of the grid, crushing symbols on their way and accumulating a multiplier with every crush. After an Angry Crush, there is a 10% chance the whole grid will rotate 90° or 180° (known as Flipper Reels): this repositions every symbol for more crushing potential.

All multipliers earned from the Donk Smash, Ultra Smash and Angry Crush features are added together into a single Donk Multiplier: this is applied to the Donk symbols win at the end of the spin.

Hipster Attack

In the randomly-triggered Hipster Attack feature, Donk crashes the party in a rare special event that generates a Donk-loaded board: this significantly boosts your chances of triggering Smash features.

Free Spins

The Free Spins feature is played by landing 3 Beer Bonus Scatters anywhere on the grid. With 6 free spins awarded, Donk lands more often than the base game and triggers at 50% as opposed to 25%. This sees more Smash features triggered and bigger Donk Multipliers.

Landing 4 Beer Bonus Scatters will trigger the Super Free Spins feature, with 7 free spins. With more Donks, features trigger at 75% with only Donk symbols and Beer Bonus Scatters surviving the smashes. The entire grid is designed to pile up Donks for the highest count tiers (up to 1000x) and the biggest Donk Multipliers.

When I fired up the Pissed slot, I thought it was going to be about some drunk. I wasn’t far wrong though as it’s about the disillusioned Donk who cannot deal with modern life. Angry and out to destroy everything in his path, the creativity shown by Shady Lady is again on point with a game that is unique and distinctive in a crowded market.

The gameplay revolves around Donk: he is the highest-paying symbol and activates Smash features randomly. In the base game, there is a 25% chance of Smash feature triggering: Donk removes low-value symbols and moves high-value symbols and scatters into new grid positions with the Ultra Smash feature unleashing a barrage of attack patterns onto the grid.

With the Angry Crush feature, Donk symbols cascade to the bottom of the grid, crushing symbols in their path and building the Donk Multiplier. Look out for the randomly triggered Flipper Reels as this rotates the whole grid for more Donk smashes and higher multipliers.

The key is to build the Donk Multiplier, which then applies to Donk symbols wins at the end of the spin. If you activate the Hipster Attack feature, you’ll benefit from a Donk-loaded board for even bigger win potential.

In the free spins features, more Donk symbols land and features trigger at a higher rate (50% and 75%). With the ‘Super’ version, Donks can pile up for a higher Donk Multiplier and much bigger wins.
