  Shiri has a decent chance here. She has an excellent overall record: three wins from five starts, including a Class 1 over 6f at Chantilly. Her latest fourth in the Listed Prix Marchand was respectable, beaten only about two lengths, which shows that she can compete at this level. The 5f trip is suitable, and Henri Graffard is in outstanding recent form. Barzalona is a major positive here. She carries only 8-8, receiving weight from most of the older runners as well.

  Even though Doran is slightly drifting, I'm still backing him. To me, he looks the one to beat. He finished second of 15 on debut over 2m 6f, beaten only six lengths despite starting at very high odds. Today's 2m 5f trip is almost identical to his debut distance, so there is no issues with stamina. His pedigree looks great for staying hurdles, as he is a half-brother to Dorans River, who was a multiple hurdle winner from 2 to 3 miles.

  Georgia Celena finished a very close second at Wexford over 3m last time, beaten only by a neck. Now she returns to Downpatrick, where she has won once and placed three times from seven C&D runs. This ground and the 2m 5f trip suit her really well, and she is only 2 lb higher. O'Brien claims 5 lb, helping offset the rise in the weights easily today.

  Booyea finished second over this course and distance in June, beaten only 1 length by Pierre Royal. That run came off a mark of 84, and he is now 5 lb higher, so he needs a little more. The recent run suggests to me that he could be coming back into form. He has a strong record on good-to-firm ground, with three wins and three places from 11 starts, and the return of blinkers is a good call, in my opinion.
