Plenty of these in here need a resurgence in form but DILIGENTLY won over C&D on his penultimate start and should go well again off a 2lb higher mark. The son of Harry Angel can be forgiven for a no-show at Ascot last month; he was slow away and never involved, but the form looks to be working out nicely with the winner backing up that success NTO and plenty in behind either winning or going close on subsequent starts. Young B Loughnane is flying of late in his pursuit of the jockey's championship (30% SR) and owner J Goddard brings a couple of positive stats; a 27% SR (A/E 1.67) on pear shaped courses and 24% SR (A/E 1.67) with runners on good to firm ground. 15/2 taken (5 places).
